A Brief Introduction to Art Education at Anshun Minzu High School
1、School Introduction
Anshun Minzu High School is a provincial model senior high school, winning honorary titles of "Civilized School Campus in Guizhou" and "Advanced Unit of Ethnic Unity in Guizhou". The school covers an area of 108 mu, including a building area of 60,407 square meters. It has 194 faculty members, including 71 with senior titles, 2 special-grade teachers, 54 provincial-level and municipal-level core teachers, 187 teachers that have obtained bachelor's degree, 10 with postgraduate degree. The school currently has 2,716 students enrolled in 50 classes. 80% of the students are on campus residential students, and 32.8% are ethnic minority students, the majority of whom are of Miao, Buyi and Li ethnicity.
Anshun Minzu High School adopts the management and educational mode of "Efficient School Management, Moral- guided Education, Physical Education and Liberal Education”. The school has developed a "harmony and beauty culture" based on the concept of laying a solid foundation for students’ lifelong development, and attaches great importance to students' all-round development. The school has received recognition from students, parents and society with its outstanding management capabilities.
2、Characteristic Curriculum
In recent years, under the leadership of the Municipal Party committee and the municipal government, with the support of higher education departments, the school has achieved remarkable achievements in art education. It has been successively evaluated as "The second batch of Chinese Excellent Culture and Art Inheritance Schools in Primary and Secondary Schools of The Ministry of Education", "Guizhou Ethnic folk Culture and Education Project Base", "Provincial Advanced Collective of Ethnic and Folk Culture and Education Activities", and "Anshun local performance unit which inherits the local intangible cultural heritage opera culture and promotes the harmonious development ". It has formed a student-centered development pattern with discipline integration, joint school running, art activities, school-based research, art associations and so on. It has also independently developed a number of school-based arts courses and put them into teaching, among which the representative characteristic courses are Chinese Folk Paper-cutting, Wax printing, Tunpu Local Opera and Chorus.

In 2017, the school's art school-based textbooks, such as Wax printng, Chinese folk paper-cut, Tunpu local opera, and their teaching achievements were successfully approved as the Second Batch of National Primary and Secondary Chinese Excellent Culture and Art Inheritance schools by the Ministry of Education. In 2018 the teaching achievements of the folk paper-cut won the second prize in the Art Education and Teaching Achievements Evaluation Activity of Primary and Eecondary Schools (kindergartens, secondary vocational schools) in Anshun. In 2021, the research results of folk paper-cutting teaching won the first prize in the first Anshun Primary and Secondary Education Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Award (Kindergarten, secondary vocational schools) .In 2021, the paper-cut education case won the Third Prize of Excellent Case of Reform and Innovation of the 7th Art Exhibition for Primary and Middle School Students in Guizhou Province. Our school local opera team participated in the 2019 Hunan International Channel "Sunshine Boy" children's Spring Festival Gala and won the final champion of Anshun. The school local opera team won the second prize in the 6th Art Exhibition for Primary and middle school students in Guizhou Province. In 2021, the national choir of our school won the gold medal in the 11th Youth Art Festival and the performance of red Heart to the Party. |

安顺市民族中学艺术教育情况简介
一、学校介绍
安顺市民族中学是省级示范性高级中学,“贵州省文明校园”,“贵州省民族团结先进集体”。学校占地108亩,建筑面积60407平米,教职工194人,高级职称71人,特级教师2人,省级骨干和市级骨干教师共54人,本科学历187人,研究生学历10人,学生人数2716人,教学班级50个,住宿生占80%,少数民族学生占32.8%(苗族、布依族、黎族居多)。近三年来,学校平均向本科院校输送学生率为85.74%、学生巩固率为98.99%。
安顺市民族中学“和美治校、和美明德、和美益智、和美健体、和美博艺、和美爱劳”的管理模式和育人模式,形成了学校“和美文化”特色,秉承着为学生终身发展奠基的理念,重视和培养学生的全面发展和提高,所取得的成绩获得了学生、家长、及社会各界充分的认同和赞赏。
二、特色课程
近年来,学校在市委市政府的领导和上级教育部门支持下,学校艺术教育成果显著,先后被评为“国家教育部第二批全国中小学中华优秀文化艺术传承学校”、“贵州省民族民间文化教育项目基地”、“全省民族民间文化教育活动先进集体”、“安顺市传承非遗地戏文化助推地方和谐发展展演单位”,形成了以学科融合、联合办学、艺术活动、校本研修、艺术社团等以生为本的发展格局。自主开发有多门艺术类校本课程并投入教学,其中较有代表性的特色课程有《中国民间剪纸》《蜡染》《屯堡地戏》《合唱》。
